A good salon will usually be able to accommodate you if you're wearing full makeup when you try on gowns. Sometimes they may ask you to put on a mask to cover your face while you're putting the gown over your head, so as not to damage the gown. It is much more polite not to wear makeup when you're trying on wedding gowns, as they damage and stain easily.
