If you take more than the prescribed dose, you are going to be blocking more fat digestion and taking out more fat from the gastro-intestinal tract. What they've found is that people don't really go that route because when they try something like that they get the "oops" and they may defecate uncontrollably or have anal leakage or have an embarrassing moment. In that regard Alli is self-limiting. Once you experience that by taking too much of it, you don't do it again.
