How do I improve my VoIP sound quality?
One is you can get a QoS device installed on your network. One of them is offered by D-link, it's called a DI101. And some firewalls or routers have it incorporated into their device as well so you can enable those QoS functions. The other thing is you can just get more bandwidth. Increasing bandwidth will help with the voice quality in case you're downloading a file so it doesn't get stepped on; your call quality. And the other thing is try to get the VoIP service from the same provider that's offering you the bandwidth, that way you're not actually traversing the entire network to get to your voice service, you just going, it's the same provider. Finally, you can always call your service provider that's providing the bandwidth and complain that your call quality is not as good. So, you can ask them to see if they can improve that.
