You apply gel direct from the gel, direct to your skin with an applicator. You apply it in a thin layer as it melts down with your body heat. You apply a small amount if you like or larger, depending on the area that you're applying it to and then you place your wax strip on then remove it quickly. You wouldn't want to leave it there for too long because your body heat will keep on melting it, so you need to get it off pretty quickly.
