Should I ever iron my wedding gown?

Sally Grigsby (Owner of Belle Bridal) gives expert video advice on: What is the difference between pressing and steaming?; How long does it take to press a wedding gown?; How do I decide my wedding gown's color? and more...

Ironing your own wedding gown is a very risky business, and I would not recommend it. However, for instance, if you are in a situation where you are getting married in a remote location--perhaps on an island or somewhere like that - you can take a small handheld steamer. This will release most wrinkles in the cloth. And even hanging a gown on the back of the bathroom door when you're taking a shower will release most wrinkles.
