Is it better to overdress or underdress when going to a hot spot?
If you are a guy and you are in L.A., you can't go wrong with a great pair of jeans. You can wear a great T-shirt too. In L.A. you can just roll out of bed, throw on some shoes and you're fine. In New York, you probably want to dress up more and wear nice shoes, no T-shirt, wear a button-down. If you're a guy and you're going out in Vegas, I definitely suggest wearing nice shoes and a button-down shirt because there are some venues in Vegas, some clubs and bars, that won't let you in with a T-shirt. I've actually had a big group of guys and girls with me and we were celebrating my friend's birthday, and a couple of our guy friends in our group were wearing T-shirts with tennis shoes and they couldn't get into the place where we were all going. That was too bad for them, but at least they got to go home, change and come back. It's annoying. Rather dress up than down in Vegas.
