When you're cleaning out your closet you want to do it seasonally. There's four seasons to a year, so with each passing season rid yourself of what you won't be wearing for the next season. It's essentially like a store, with every new season of sweaters, or bathing suits, or shorts, or coats. Rid yourself of what's not good. Put it into storage and/or throw it away. Four times a year is a good assessment of when to clean the closet out.
