The hair or the fiber is actually baked in ovens, so therefore it is what it is. It can't be changed, and if you wet it, soak it, dip it in water, it will come back as the day you bought it. Real hair wigs have to be maintained and blow dried, colored if necessary, and curled. But you cannot put heat onto synthetic fibers. You'll actually melt it, whereas real hair you treat as real hair.
