How do you get your own salon?

I think there's many ways to get your own salon. The way I got my salon was a businessman saw a talent in me that I didn't particularly see in myself, but he saw a potential in me and he put the finances up to open my salon. So I basically said "Well, the deal is I want my name above the door and fifty percent and I'll put in the blood, sweat and tears and you put the money in". He took that gamble, it's paid off. Now that's one way, to try and get someone to invest into you. The other way is to perhaps do it youself and go to the bank. I think you have to have a certain amount of cash yourself or borrow the money from someone or whatever. They will/could finance a salon for you. But I must say, and I can only speak from my experience, it is one of the scariest things in the world is to go into business in this day and age. There's so much competition. There's so much talent out there, that it's, I would say harder now than it was when I started. But they're the two ways I think you can go into business by owning your own salon.
