A Guide To Astrology Horoscopes
Astrology is a field which is difficult for a common man to understand. This video gives us some easy tips to understand astrology which has a scientific basis. Thanks to this video, understanding astrology will be easier.
Hi, I am Nick Hughes. I am an astrologer and teacher. I have been working in this field for the last ten years.
Today, I am going to be talking about various aspects of astrology. Now, horoscope means a moment of time and therefore it is not just relating to birth chart and native charts but any moment in time, for example, for a question or an event you can create a horoscope for that. So when we look at a horoscope, the first thing that we could look at are the angles, the four angles in the chart, and these are the ascendant/descendant which is the horizontal line and this actually represents the horizon at the moment of someone's birth.
And this would be the eastern horizon is the ascendant and the western horizon the descendant. The other angle is the mid heaven and Ic the Mc Ic axis. that represents more the where the sun is at its height around mid day that will be the highest in the sky represents where the mid heaven is and the opposite point where it is usually around midnight will be the Ic.
And this structure of the ascendant, descendant, the Mc, the Ic represents the basic or framework for the horoscope and the orientation of the horoscope. Surrounding the whole thing of course is the ecliptic, and the ecliptic is where the path of the sun and the moon and all the planets go round from the earth's perspective. And the ecl1ptic will be divided into twelve signs or constellations or the zodiac and these are depicted on the outside of the wheel.
For example, if this was a moment of a person's birth and if you have to look at the horizon, you will see the sign of Gemini rising and the sign of Sagittarius setting on the descendant with the sign of Pisces the most visible and the highest in the sky. The next things to mention are the planets. The planets are, of course, going round the zodiac wheel round the ecliptic permanently, some are going quite fast, some are going quite slowly, and these are drawn on the chart in the following way.
So if, example, a person is born in early April, they will have the sun will be in the sign of Aries and the moon sign, for example, may be in Capricorn and so by looking at the chart, you will say I have the sun in Aries and the moon will be in the sign of Capricorn and the other planets will just go into their respective signs. Another thing that you can see in this horoscope are the lines connecting the different planets and these are based on the geometrical relationships between the two planets. So for example, if you have the sun in Aries and moon in Capricorn, this represents a 90 degree angle and a 90 degree angle in astrology is called a square because it is 90 degrees.
The other aspects are time, 120 degrees conjunction and the opposition, the opposition will be 180 degrees. The final thing to say is that's the four angles in the chart can be further subdivided into twelve houses such as this and these houses represent areas of life that a person has, for example, one area can be children, another could be finance, another could be health. So your horoscope could show many things in many layers and to really understand it you need to understand planets, houses, angles, aspects and signs, about putting all those different things together.
We can create a whole picture of what this moment in time mean and what it means to an individual. And that's a guide to astrology horoscopes. .
