Hello, my name is Lee Healey and I'm the managing director of Income Max, the entitlement expert. We help people to make sense of and understand the benefits in tax credit system. Today, we're going to tell you lots about the benefits and tax credits that are available.

Here's a quick guide to energy efficiency grants. It's never been more important to keep your home warm and also from the environmental prospective as well to make sure that your home is energy efficient, and because of this, there's a lot of help available for heat in your home and trying to make it more energy efficient. So what kind of help are we talking about? Well for example, it might be a new boiler, central heating, loft insulation, cavity wall insulation, and so on and so forth.

So we see, those things can be quite expensive and if you're on a low income, it can be difficult to make your home energy efficient and warm. So there's help available through grants in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland. To qualify for these types of grants, normally you need to be on some kind of low income benefit.

So it's benefits like income support, pension credit, employment and support allowance, child tax credit and so on and so forth. So first of all, it's always a good idea to try and check out and see if you're entitled to one of these benefits in the first place. The next thing is obviously where to get help and advice.

There's so many different places you can actually get help and advice from, but I'd recommend the energy savings trust. Now, they have a website, energysavingstrust.org.

uk. Or you can give them a call on 0800 512 012. That's 0800 512 012.

If you give the energy savings trust a call, they'll be able to put you in the picture as to what grants are available for you. Alternatively, you can contact your local council. More often than not, your local council will have some kind of department that deals with energy and heating and so on and so forth.

You can have a chat to them to see what kind of grants and what kind of schemes are available in that area. So that's a bit of an idea about energy efficiency grants. Don't forget, think about the type of work you need done in your home.

Secondly, are you in receipt of the correct benefits, and then thirdly, the best people to contact, energy savings trust or your local council, and that's a quick guide to energy efficiency grants. .
