A Guide To Green Cleaning Products
This VideoJug video explains how to choose environmentally friendly cleaning products. It describes the different options available and some advantages and features of the different products.
Hello, I'm Kate Belcheva. I run Ultimately Eco Cleaning. We clean homes and offices around London using environmentally friendly cleaning products and materials.
Today, I'm going to be talking about green cleaning. When it comes to cleaning, there is one important choice to make; what cleaning products to use. Today, I'm going to show you how to choose your cleaning products.
The choice you need to make is between the latest technology, which is either microfibers or some of the manufactured products. Whether they be Ecover, which is the most famous and environmentally friendly brand, or Method which is the newest brand, that's the innocent smoothie of cleaning and organic products which, in this example, is Alma Win, and they are made in Germany and they're eco-certified organic. Or you can go the old fashioned way, using vinegar, salt, washing soda, and bicarbonate of soda.
In this occasion, you need to learn what soda and what alkaline agents are good for and what more acidic like vinegar and lemon juice are good for. For example, lemon and vinegar can easily be substitutes for each other. They can be used in the bathroom to remove lime scale and clean the sinks and toilet.
Bicarbonate of soda is a very good absorbent of smell. Mixed with vinegar water, it can be a very good scrubbing power and washing soda crystals are very good for washing, cleaning the home and degreasing. You can choose between microfiber or the fiber technology.
Fiber technology uses three basic agents, which is the marble paste, and this is to clean leather and wood, and it's based on beeswax. Fiber technology works in the very similar principle as microfiber which is using a very thin plastic thread that is sewn together and used to collect rubbish and dirt from all the surfaces. So, some advantages between microfiber and fiber are they both use only water.
And it's important to always use cold water. When you would like to rinse them and prepare them for the next cleaning job, you can use hot water and just put them in the washing machine, and be careful not to put any fabric softener or bleach. The good thing about microfibers is that it allows you to clean without using any chemicals.
By choosing green cleaning products, we can help each other sustain a good health and healthy environment. .
