A Guide To Horary Astrology

Hi, I am Nick Hughes. I am an astrologer and a teacher. I have been working in this field for the last 10 years.

Today I am going to talk about various aspects of astrology. Horary astrology is a particular branch of astrology. It does not deal with the birth charts of anyone.

It simply deals with answering a particular question. So, the way it works is that a client will ask a question to the astrologer and when the astrologer understands the nature of that question, he will cast a chart for the moment that he understands what the question is about and by looking at that chart, he will be able to analyze it and provide answer to the client. Now, the type of questions that can be asked in horary astrology are quite broad.

The usual things are: When will I get married? I lost my dog, where can I find it? Is it a good time to move house? All kinds of questions about the things that concern people on a daily basis. Many questions require simple yes or no answer and the astrologer will inevitably provide that, but some of the questions may be a little more tricky and there was a well-known case where a woman lost her scarf and asked the astrologer where could she find her scarf. So, she asked the astrologer who did a horary chart and through some elaborate kind of techniques, told the woman that it will be found in a local nearby French restaurant and she went there and that is where she found it.

So, not always, horary astrology is quite so detailed as that, but that is an indication that some of the questions that it can answer. Is it not every question is valid and the astrologer will often has to decide whether the question is valid to begin with before even casting the chart. But the advantage that the horary astrology has over native astrology is that it can answer very specific questions that may not be seen so much in the native chart.

So, they can in many ways compliment each other and that is many ways the essence of horary astrology. .
