A Guide To Men's Shorts
A closet full of clothes but can't decide what to wear with what this summer? Check out this video from VideoJug to help you mix and match your men's shorts with other summer clothing.
I'm here to tell you about men's shorts today and how to choose to suit your body shape and occasion. This is a pair of tailored chinos, quite nice to wear for a gentleman of any age. Pretty much works for any occasion.
You'll notice that there's a bit of pin tucking here in the front which is great for gentleman who have a little bit of fullness around the tummy. Works great for any occasion, color suits virtually anybody. These, you could put together with - I wouldn't put these together with socks and sandals, I would probably put these together with probably a nice pair of Birkenstocks, a nice pair of leather sandals, probably with a loose fit linen shirt or nice quality t-shirt.
These are tipping on formal; they'll go either way depending on how you put them together. So if you're generally looking for one pair of shorts to get you through summer, that might be one pair for you. These are similar, they're slightly more tailored.
You can see the pocketing details on the back. These might not be great for men who have a little bit more fullness in the backside. Virtually any age can wear these.
Again, great color, sort of a khaki-olive type color. These, I would put together probably with a button down shirt, probably short sleeved, something a little bit more tailored, not with a logo t-shirt and flip flops or Birkenstocks. So, this is probably the most formal style that we're going to look at today.
Now if you're a bit braver, you can wear a splash of color. These suit dark skin types, I would say. They probably also suit anybody who's a little bit adventurous.
These could be put together with a fun t-shirt or if you're going for color blocking, you could put them with a bright colored t-shirt as well. Probably sandals again, nothing too formal. The whole mood of them is a bit fun.
And on the fun trend, getting increasingly more casual, these, I would put with very informal shoes. Flip flops are great. This is a typical beach type of look, very soft tailoring, very, very casual.
Generally not for the office depending on where you work, of course, but this is a great beach/holiday look. This is a variation on theme again. You can inject a plaid trend if you want to have a little bit of pattern, a little bit of color.
It's a very youthful look. Again, I would use this with very informal shoes, t-shirt. If you were going for something buttoned up, probably with a tank top underneath with maybe a loose linen shirt over top.
I wouldn't put this with anything too formal. And the combat trend, these are good for gents who tend to be quite slim on the hip and legs because they're so bulky and the fabric has that bulk to it. Same on the back, lots of pocket detailing, the cargo pockets on the side, bulk around the middle.
I wouldn't advise these for gentlemen who have fullness on the lower half. These are great to give you bulk and size if you've got skinnier legs and backside. And these also are a great youthful look, probably not for the office, stick to the beginning of the video, the slightly more tailored version.
Great with Birkenstocks, great with the Nike shoes, great with flip flop look, tank top, if you've got the body for it and very casual. Nice look. .
