A Guide To Rioblush
Dr. Joshua Berkowitz speaks about carboxytherapy which is a skin treatment option performed in a clinic to help heal aging and wrinkled skin as well as stretch marks.
Today, we're going to talk about carboxytherapy, sometimes called Rioblush, because the commonest machine used to deliver carboxytherapy is a machine by a company called Rioblush. The carboxytherapy treatment has been around for a long time and has been used in medicine to heal various ulcers and slow-healing wounds for many, many years, and has slowly now come into the world of aesthetics and is used commonly for skin tightening, for wrinkle reduction, and in particular, for the use in the reduction of stretch marks. It's about the use of carbon dioxide which is pushed into the skin and subcutaneous tissues using a machine which controls the temperature, the purity, and the pressure of the carbon dioxide as it's pushed into the skin.
It's completely safe, it has no medical consequences whatsoever, and it's very effective. It needs to be done by a skilled practitioner, in the correct environment, and there are many clinics around the country that are now offering the service. It's one of those treatments that has to be done on a reasonably regular basis in order to get a result, so it's not a single treatment, but a series of treatments, usually somewhere between six and 12 treatments, but many patients will constantly come and have top-ups because it's effective and because it's cheap and a good value, and it does the skin a lot of good by producing and encouraging the growth of collagen which results in the skin tightening which results in the wrinkle reduction, including its effectiveness on stretch marks.
It's a great treatment, it's cheap, it's simple, it's safe, and it's available in many clinics today. .
