A Guide To Sugaring Hair Removal
This video explains the use and benefits of sugaring, an alternative hair removal method which makes hair grow finer and slower in the long run.
Hello, I'm going to explain to you how to do sugaring, what the benefits are and how to use sugaring. So firstly, you would prepare the skin just as you would for normal waxing, you would cleanse the area with pre-wax lotion. You may dust just a little bit of talcum powder on to the area just to dry the skin, otherwise, especially if it's quite moist, otherwise the sugar won't adhere on the skin, and you just won't get an effective result.
Then once you've done that, get the sugar putty, roll it into a ball, apply it against the direction of the hair growth, to lift the hairs and the hairs actually, get into, get caught in the actual sugar paste and then once you actually smooth it on against the direction using your hands, just flick in the direction of the hair growth, so apply against the direction and remove in the direction unlike warm waxing. When that's done, just the after cares of waxing is just the same, so you would have applied after wax lotion just to actually soothe the area, remove any sting and remove excess wax. However, with sugaring, great thing about sugaring is that it's actually water soluble so you don't need a great deal of surgical spirits or any other products to actually remove any wax residue or any sugar left on the skin.
You just use plain old water, great even if you spill it on the floor, if it falls on to the floor, no worries because it's actually water soluble. So, actually, that is one of the benefits of sugaring, so we'll talk about that now. The other benefits are, the first one is water soluble, you can just remove by using water, plain old water, don't need to use strips so there's less wastage, it's much more gentle on the skin because it doesn't adhere on to the skin like warm wax does, some of the warm wax has got sticky residue, it has actually adhere-on to the skin whereas with sugar wax and sugar paste, it doesn't.
Therefore, it's less likely to rip the skin. Also, because you're actually removing the hairs in the direction of the hair growth, there's less likely to be any damage the hair follicle, therefore there will be a reduction in ingrown hairs. With long term use, of usage of sugaring, it can actually make the hairs finer and make them grow at a slower rate, which is great because sugaring like waxing, normal warm wax, it actually removes the hair from the roots.
So, another benefit of sugaring is that it's great for all skin types, especially sensitive skin and because it doesn't adhere to the skin, therefore, you have clients which, you know, who are allergic to wax or maybe their skin becomes very sore, they just find it an uncomfortable treatment, sugaring is the best way to go. So, those are the main benifits of sugaring. .
