Hi, there. I'm Abi Cleeve, from Ultrasun. I've been in the sun care industry for thirteen years, really helping people to make the right decisions on their sun care choices.

Today, I'm going to try and do the same for you. When choosing sun protection, it can feel very confusing. There are a lot of things to look out for.

What I'm going to do now is just go through the clear basics, so you can really understand how to make it easy, and make the right choice. The first thing to look for is a high SPF. That should be above the number 30.

A very high is 50 plus. You should really be looking in these categories, even for use in this country. The next step is to look for a really good UVA protection.

This will be symbolized on the front of the packet with UVA letters and a little circle around. It means the product's been tested and verified to have the right level of UVA for that SPF. These are the essentials in choosing the right sun protection, but then you can start to look a little further.

Will it deliver water resistance for you? Does it contain chemicals? Are there elements that you may have allergies to? These are really important things to consider when you're looking at your sun protection. Simply turn the bottle over and read the back to find out how long that product will last in water. Every manufacturer should tell you this.

Ultrasun, for example, tells you that this product will continue to protect you for the whole day, even if you go in and out of water. But we do remind you, you must read the instructions. You need to understand what skin type you are, and make sure that you act accordingly.

Remember, we need a lot more protection these days than we did even two or three generations ago. We now have an issue with the ozone layer, and the protection just isn't there for us anymore, so it's essential that we choose the right sun protection. So, when choosing the right sun protection, look first for the SPF, then look for the UVA protection, and then look for the finer details that really affect you and your family.

The water resistance, the chemical ingredients, and make sure you've chosen the right sun protection for you. .
