Step 1: Field Box

To begin can use a portable light weight field box or if in a very hot climate the best option would be to tube colour paints using a plastic palette. The bigger boxes are more suitable for indoors

Step 2: A brush

You need one good brush that will hold plenty of colour and has a fine point.

Step 3: Pencils

Water soluble graphite pencils

Propelling pencil, reasonably soft.

Step 4: Sketch book

The best is spiral bound as it is easier to use outdoors

Step 5: Other items

A bottle of water

Collapsible pot for outdoors

There is no need to spend a fortune on these items. Keep it simple.
