Avoiding Tantrums At Playtime

Here is a nifty trick for all parents who are fed up with tantrums. It works for bedtimes, for leaving friends' houses, and especially for when play time is over.

Step 1:

The five minute warning

Let your kid know that it is time to go in exactly five minutes

Step 2:

The countdown

Now remind them every one minute that you'll be leaving soon…..

Step 3:

Get going

Let your kid finish off that activity, and then tell them time's up.
Because of all the warnings, your kid won't be surprised playtime is over, and should come quietly.
