Ok, Now I'm going to give you a few tips on how to practice the banjo and how to increase your tempo by working up slowly with the metronome.
What I do to increase the picking speed of my right hand, I'd start slowly, pick a roll, say we're going to use the forward roll and set a metronome to sixty. I am going to play sixteen notes, which means I am going to play four notes per click and use the first three strings of the banjo.

I'd start off like this.
The key to this is trying to stay in time with the metronome and starting slowly and repeating the movement over and over to get used to it and it becomes muscle memory.
It's always a good idea to try and tap your foot when you're practicing so you physically make yourself aware of the tempo.

Try to combine different rolls, for example, you could also do it with the reverse roll.
Try various rolls at different tempos, find your comfortable speed and work from there. Build up every day and do it for a few minutes and don't try to get ahead of yourself, and focus on the quality of the sound rather than the speed at the beginning.
