For thousands of people with life threatening blood disorders such as Leukemia and Lymphoma, a bone marrow transplant literally represents a chance to live. We've teamed up with the Anthony Nolan Trust to tell you how you can join the bone marrow register and what's involved in the process if you become a match for someone. To date over 4,000 patients have been given the gift of life through The Anthony Nolan Trust's bone marrow register which genetically matches potential bone marrow donors with those in need of a transplant.

Joining the register is a very straight forward process and takes as little as 20 mins. You can either contact the Anthony Nolan Trust and they will send the forms to fill in before visiting your GP and getting the small blood sample taken or they will tell you where the next donor registration clinic is taking place in your area.

At any one time there are over 7000 men, woman and children waiting for life saving bone marrow transplants. Their chances of finding a donor improve with every single person who steps forward. You may well be the only person in the world who can save them, but you'll never know unless you take 15 mins to register.
