A great right cross should follow a lead hand jab, throwing the rear hand for the real power shot. Start with a good basic stance and guard, and throw the punch by driving from the back foot with a rotation of the waist. Make sure you don't over rotate or you will lose your balance. To ensure good balance, keep the feet a medium width apart.

Once you have a good right cross, you can try moving down to the body by bending the knees slightly, a great scoring shot that will wear your opponent down.
