Hi, I'm Simon from Box Smart. I'm an Amateur Boxing Association qualified boxing tutor. Today, I'm going to go through some boxing techniques with you.
For more information visit our site, Boxing-Classes dot net. I'm going to show you how to throw the one-two now. This is a combination of two punches.
The first one being the jab, and the second one being the cross. Okay so, moving through the punches together, it's going to be in real time. So, the first shot being the jab.
Again, shoulder up protecting your face when you throw, rear hand protecting your head on this side. Chin facing downwards. Hip movement coming through here.
The second part of the shot is the cross. Coming through, again shoulder up protecting you there. Lead hand now protects your head and comes across.
Hip movement and foot movement coming through the movement again there. So, if I demonstrate in real time again. Now slowed down, jab there. Cross there.
This is the one-two combination. So, I'm now going to demonstrate the one-two combination on the pads with Enzo. In my set position here, I throw my jab out.
My rear hand protects my face, and then cross. Lead hand now protects my face. Come back to my set position.
If I speed that movement up a little, jab, cross, back to set position. One more time, jab, cross, back to set position. With my weight transfer, as I jab, my weight stays in the middle of my stance.
As I cross, my weight comes on to my front foot and the front of my stance then I'll move it back to the center of my stance into my set position. In real time, on the pads, one, two, back to my set position. One more time, one, two, back to my set position.
That's how to throw the one-two combination on the pads. A progression after the one-two is to roll out of the movement. This promotes your head movement as your opponent's throwing back at you.
So, slowly first, jab, cross, duck out, and even throw another right cross afterward. Again, a little bit quicker, jab, cross, roll. There.
Again, the weight transfer, middle of the shot there, front foot there, roll underneath getting away on to my back foot to come through again. Again, in real time, one-two, roll, cross. .
