The Cheapskate friend is the one who never pays her way. She's the one who's always out for a free ride, the one who sponges off everyone else as much as she possibly can.

She's the one who, when you're out for dinner, will add up exactly what she has had instead of splitting the bill. As soon as it's her round in the pub she's nowhere to be found, and she'll never bring a bottle of wine when she comes round for dinner. She's the one who never pays you back if you lend her money, but always reminds you of every penny she's ever lent you.

Step 2: What You Can Do

It may be that she doesn't even realize how she is behaving. Or perhaps she just hopes you are happy to continue to sub her. If you want to stay friends with her, you're going to have to accept that she will never cough up her share. Or you'll have to get fierce and demand she pays her way .
