I'd like to show you how to make a ciabatta but since I already recorded the video on the VideoJug site about a Panini, you just, more or less, treble the amount you have found and knead the dough and let it puff with a stretching bit all the time. That here is the result. This is the end of the ciabatta, which all sits on a piece of paper, quite a soft dough.

It needs to puff a little bit, it needs to ferment a little bit to get into the oven and we continue from there. The only thing which is needed now, it came out quick nicely, is just sprinkle a little bit of flour. Just smooth it over and then from here, because I put it on a sheet, put it straight into the oven.

You can bake it directly on the sole of the oven or you can bake it on the tray for about 15, 17 minutes, depending how fierce your oven temperature is and how dark and brown will you have. If you want a softer, pliable one, take it out a little bit earlier. If you want a really crusty one, leave it in a little bit longer.

I had a little quick preview beforehand and it actually came out quite lovely. Lovely puffed up. Golden in color.

If you want to bake it more, leave it in more for five more minutes because this is very soft. It keeps for two or three days as it is so you can always warm it up and once it's stale, put some cheese on there or make a garlic bread out of it - yup, still hot. This is how you make a ciabatta.
