Solving liquid cow manure problems once and for all with bio-dredging. Own an on-site treatment systems inexpensively. ECO friendly. Reduce salt and E-coli.
Step 1: Dairy Discharge
K and F Dairy in Imperial County, California, operates with three thousand Jersey cows and fourteen thousand acres of crops.
The dairy discharge is four hundred and fifty thousand gallons of waste water and liquid maneur into two adjacent ponds and then into nearby farmland.
Since the area is under the jurisdiction of the Colorado River Water Board, the strict regulatory demands require routine reports on the quality of its discharged water.
Step 2: Installation
In late 2007, Fortune Water Technology was contracted by K and F Dairy to set up a treatment system for their liquid manure. Our engineers proposed first to establish a sequential bath system in the existing ponds. Second, install surface aerators and connect the ponds to allow waste water and liquid manure to flow from one pond to the next.
Step 3: Bio-Dredging
Specialized enzymes and microbes were applied to the ponds by our trained personnel to ensure the entire system worked at the optimal efficiency. The system is bio-dredging and treats discharged water at the same time. Waste water overflows from pond one to pond two and then is pumped to the crop field.
Step 4: Improved Water Quality
Within two months water quality is so improved that wild birds started to visit and play in the ponds. The system not only reduces salts, total suspended solids and dissolved solids in the ponds, but also effectively controls the number of E. coli and other dangerous pathogens in the discharging field.
With our services the system can completely eliminate the need for mechanical dredging of the ponds, and the costs and headache associated with it. Within three months our system converted the dairy from this, and then to this.
