Dance Central: Tips & Tricks

If you want to master Dance Central, it's not that difficult. Here are quick and easy tips for you to master Dance Central in no time.

I've been playing this game for about 2 months now and the best I can tell you is to use the training mode. It is so tempting to go straight into the songs, but you really won't have a clue what's going on. Training mode is called breaking down.

I suggest you start on medium, rather than easy or hard. Easy is just boring, hard is ridiculously complicated, you'll learn 20 different dance steps at once, so it'll be overwhelming. If you have trouble getting the hang of a move, when you fail for the third time, quickly sweep your hand up on the left to slow it down.

You get much more detail from the trainer and he really will go through every single step, going left, up, hips, right. It makes everything so much easier. Even in slowing it down, sometimes, you might still have trouble, that's probably because some of the dancers, Dare in particular, she has a tendency to add a little flourishes, so you'll be worried about moving your legs when actually, you don't need to.

If you are really not sure, try going with Mo, he has a tendency of keeping it very basic. When it comes to the game itself, when you want to do the actual performance, don't get too ambitious. The songs are all listed in order of difficulty, so you will play Poker Face a lot, but you'll get good at it.

If you try leaping off to game number 20, the easy mode on that song would be equivalent to hard on the early games. Finally, you can score from one to five stars but there's also a hidden gold star mode. To crack that, not only do you have to get the five star, you also have to get the finishing move at the end.

They don't actually teach those, so the only way to do that is to play it over and over. Don't forget, this is a kinetic game, so not only is it checking your hands, your legs, your entire spine, it's also checking your hips. If you think you're getting the move right, but you are not, have a look at your weight.

You might be having your weight on the wrong leg; you might have your hip cock up at the wrong place. You should be able to see the silhouette of yourself on the screen at the same time, so have a look at that and compare that to the dancer, there'll probably be something fairly obvious you just forgotten about. That's my guide to Dance Central.

I'm Debbie from the Average Gamer, good luck. .
