I think this is great. So many people at my homecoming dance... couldn't. They looked like they had either watched too much MTV or were having a seizure. Then one guy smacked my ass and starts air humping... it was so... ugh, kinda like if my dad had tried to go there and dance and 'be cool' it was really annoying. This video should show people that they can have fun and feel the music without annoying people. And i do agree, you should be having fun. But looking cool is fun, that's why we dress up, and once you stop doing annoying things you can be free to add your own moves in and have fun without any dancing taboos. So get out there and have fun... but take a look at this video first and you should be able to have more fun and you won't be the hug shuffling back and forth clicking his fingers and looking like a robot programed to do the shuffle click.

There are always a few people on the floor who really know what they're doing. Try and pick things up from them (but DON'T get caught doing someone else's signature move). Oh, and if you're in Atlanta or a lot of people at the party are from Atlanta, chances are they'll play a lot of snap music. This is a blessing, because it's easy. If you're a music person, figure out the beat (it's always four-four time) and snap your fingers on the THIRD beat. (Not the first, you'll look off). If you're not, just try and snap at the same time as everyone else. Move from side to side, but basically stop moving on the snap. ...Hope that helps someone?

Who's the turkey with the hat. Wants stuffing. Simple - there is no right way. Confidence is the real problem for non dancers. Like everything in life, the very first bad experiences as a child and consequent "I don't's" dictate our lives for ever more. Some guys are lucky straight off and people seem to admire their dancing (OK easy for me to say), some do not get so lucky. Not their fault, often just a child. So what, deal with it, you're grown up now. You are there to have fun and hopefully express yourself (because one day you'll be dead and its too late), not win a dancing competition. So... Just pick up the beat and feel what the music means to you. It talks to you, and you talk back. As long as you come back on that beat, you're fine. You can double the beat or split it or just meet it . Or if you become very good, play around and back, like a jazz musician would. You are the song, its for you. The music is yours, so who cares. If you have the beat its your dance floor. Its when you do things just for other people that things go wrong. Above all else don't wear a hat, look a right shed, wave your arms, do "moves" and smirk at people. Unless you to want to be another Turkey with Pineapple.

I think it does depend on your confidence. If you're too nervous, those moves probably aint gonna look good, and if you're confident, some silly moves can look good. But some of those moves (such as the woop-woop) can work depending on the music - eg. to a S Club Party lol. But yeh, smiling at people while you dance (unless you're dancing with em) looks cheesy And matthew1471, yep, he reminded me of David Cameron too. Just don't let David Cameron's lies and idiocy cause you to do something stupid like vote Labour or Lib Dems
