Fallout - New Vegas: Tips & Tricks
In this video, you are provided just a few suggestions to help you get started with Fallout New Vegas. The game is also explained a little bit so you have an idea what your objectives are.
Fallout New Vegas is a role-playing game set in post-nuclear apocalypse, Nevada. First few times you level up, I would advise you to put loads of points in a weapon or unarmed, any kind of combat thing. Even if you want to play a stealthy, sneaking character, you don't actually get the silent running perk until level 12, so chances are, you're going to be see or hear and you're going to have to go into combat.
Next thing you need to worry about, caps. Best way, by far, to collect caps is to grab weapons off dead bodies and sell them. Problem is weapons weigh a ton.
Next best option is pre-war money and cigarettes. They have no weight at all and they're worth about 10 caps each. If you have even a few points in barter, you should be able to sell them for six.
Two other good sources for caps are ammo, unless you're playing in hardcore mode because then, it has weight and alcohol, wine and spirits, particularly, are worth quite a bit and you can find them everywhere. On the perks, take swift learner. It's only 10 percent more experience but quickly racks up if you take it early.
Another tip, companions are a great help. Not only do they add to your fire power, they're also a great distraction and each companion will give you an extra perk that you wouldn't otherwise get. Edie is a robot that you'll find in Prim.
He's lying on a bench. You need to fix him up. For that, you'll need either 65 points in electronics, and 55 in science, or you can do it by salvaging parts, so you need three scrap metal, two sensor modules, and one scrap electronics.
You can pick them up around level 5 so it's definitely a bonus to have them. Those are my tips for Fallout New Vegas. Good luck finding the platinum chip.
