Fashion Trends: How To Wear Tribal
Celebrity Stylist Zoe Lem teaches you how to wear the Tribal trend for spring/summer.
-
Step 1:
-
Tribal Head To Toe
-
This is about a mix of fabrics, textures and colour. If you wear a leather bag make sure you bring in leather elsewhere such as a belt or shoes to create balance from head to toe.
-
If you're wearing a print, pull some colours out of that print and introduce them somewhere else. If you have a brown colour in the print introducing brown leather looks great.
-
Step 2:
-
Tribal Flavour
-
You can introduce a flavour of tribal without going over the top. If you go for a tribal patterned top keep it simple on the skirt. To inject a flavour of tribal try pulling out one of the colours from the pattern and keep one of the colours for the shoes as well - this will look great as an outfit.
-
Step 3:
-
Tribal Accessories
-
When working out what bags, scarves, shoes or belts to pick up on the tribal trend be careful.
-
If you wear a bright, patterned scarf you need to bring out the colours somewhere else. This is a good way to bring out the trend without going over the top as you can add it to plain, simple outfits.
-
Step 4:
-
Tribal Jewellery
-
This is a great way to bring out the tribal flavour without going over the top. You can add it through a tribal themed outfit or you can go for a very cool, simple outfit and use jewellery to spice up that look.
-
If you're adding jewellery to an existing outfit that's already tribal make sure you bring in the colours to balance it out. If you have browns in your outfit wood really works. If you have bright colours in your outfit you need to bring in the vibrancy through the jewellery for a really organic feel.
-
If you have a simple, core outfit you can go quite statement as long as it balances with the rest of the outfit.
