Get The Look : 70s Glam
Learn how to recreate one of the season's hottest looks, the 70's glam. This film will teach you how to create the perfect 70's glam-inspired outfit and pair it with a totally glamorous makeup look.
Today, we're going to show you how to get the 70's glam look. And I'm going to be showing you how to complete this look by using Rimmel London products. 70's glam – well, what's in a name, 70's and glamorous.
That's it, that's the look. Celebrities are championing this look. Fashion stylist Rachel Zoe is wearing it day to day.
Nicole Richie wears this look spring, summer, rain or shine. How to inject some 70's glam into your wardrobe? Can I say fur? Fur, fur, fur. Make sure it's faux, of course, but fur for sure.
One of the key trouser shapes for the season was the 70's flare, shown here in camel, just gorgeous. But basically, you pair these with your emerald green tie-front blouse. Oh my god, how fabulous.
Another key look for the season was pairing your tunic with your tube trouser. I can show you one here. We've done it color blocked.
You can do it in a head-to-toe color, but we've done it here color blocked with a little trim. Just great, wear that with your boots or your flat shoes. Gorgeous! Ankle straps were a key detail for shoes this season, as were the wedge heel.
We've got a fabulous pair here in oxblood which is just a really, really important color for the season. And also match it to your bag, it's just great. The 70's glam look is all about that glamorous girl, the Bond girl, the bronzed cheeks, ensuring that your eyes are popping using some really, really bright colors.
So, we're going to start off by using the Exaggerate Waterproof Eyeliner in Emerald Sparkle. It glides on really, really smoothly. Literally just place it underneath the bottom lash line.
You can warm it up on your hand if you need to. Just get a really, really strong line. To really get that bronze effect on the eyes, we're going to be using the Glam Eyes Quad in Sun Safari.
I'm just going to dust a really, really light layer of gold across the eye socket. What's really nice as well, actually, is to bring it all the way up to the brow bone. And if you want to create a bit of a dark color in the crease, you can do, just to give a bit of definition to the eyes.
And it has the lovely, lovely sun-kissed color to it as well. To finish the eye, look up and really make the eyes dramatic, finish it off with our Sexy Curves mascara. To really make this look sexy, we're going to be using the Rimmel London Lasting Finish lipstick in Coral in Gold.
It's a really, really soft color but it has got a lovely edge to it. You don't need to put too much on. It's just going to really, really catch the light, this color.
It's got the gold particles in it so it's really going to bounce off that Sun Safari eyeshadow that's on the eyelids. We're going to finish off this look by using the Sun Shimmer 3-in-1 shimmering bronzer. Just place that on the apples of the cheeks, the eyebrow bone, and down the nose, anywhere that you want to shimmer. .
