Ghosts: A Spotter's Guide
Ghosts: A Spotter's Guide - Paranormal Historian Richard Felix explains the difference between the types of ghosts and spirits a spotter could come across in their paranormal investigations.
-
Step 1:
-
The recording
-
This is a recording of a tragic or traumatic event held in the structure of a building. It is known as the Stone Tape Theory. Recordings replay as apparitions until energy is dispersed. Recordings are non-sentient entities.
-
Step 2:
-
The trapped soul
-
These are spirits or souls that are afraid to move on, because of what they have done in life, and fear Judgment Day. Or they may love the building they are in, and choose to stay. They might also have had a sudden, unexpected death and not know they are dead.
-
Step 3:
-
The crisis apparition
-
They manifest themselves in front of loved ones, sometimes even before they are dead. Examples of these are stories from the 1st and 2nd World Wars, when mothers and wives of soldiers away at war would see a vision of their son/husband, and then later learn that he had died.
-
Step 4:
-
The poltergeist
-
Many people are frightened of poltergeists, thinking they are evil and malicious, but that is not always the case. Sometimes they are just calling out for help. Poltergeists can also be the ghosts of children, and are playful and mischievous, and are attracted by the presence of other children.
