VideoJug Golf magician Rickard Strongert shows how to hit a ball with an upside-down club. Chip with the grip in your golf game to truly impress on the golf course - the VideoJug way!

Step 1: Wide set-up

Set up to the ball with a wide stance so your body is lower, making it easier to reach the ball.

Step 2: Grip low down

Grip low down on the club, to leave almost the whole grip free.

Step 3: Wrists back

As you take your back swing, hinge your wrists as far back as possible.

Step 4: Keep wrists bent

Then on the down swing, bend your legs as much as you can.

Keep your wrists hinged throughout your downswing, so the top of the grip hits the ball, chipping it away.

At first you will find it difficult to bend your knees enough, so the club head hits the ground too early.

It usually takes a lot of practice to get it right, but eventually you will bring it all together and execute a tidy “chip grip”.
