Guitar - Blues Turnaround
Guitar - Bless Turnaround: In this film VideoJug teaches you how to play the blues turnaround on your guitar.
Before you start to play check that your guitar is in tune. Watch our other films on how to tune your guitar, if you are unsure.
Play the blues turnaround in the key of E. First start with the chord of A open close open…. to the chord of E. Then to play the turnaround use the D 7 shape and rather than playing on fret 1 slide up to fret 3, an inversion of E. Place the first finger on the D string on Fret 3, second finger on the G string on fret 4 and the third finger on the E string also on fret 4. Picking with the rhythm hand using the thumb, first and second fingers on the G, B and top E strings.
Practise sliding down the D7, slide slide to E.
Once you are familiar with them practise moving from chord to chord, so that your notes do not have any buzzing or humming sounds. The progressions should sound fluid and smooth with practise.
