Guitar - E Minor Chord
Learn to play the Guitar chord in E minor with VideoJug, and whilst doing so, your fingers will be well exercised.
Before you start to play check that your guitar is in tune. Watch our other films on how to tune your guitar, if you are unsure.
The minor chords are very different to the major chords in that they make a much sadder sounding chord.
To play the E minor chord, your second finger goes on to the second fret on the A string. The third finger goes on the D string on the second fret. All the other strings are played as open strings.
Practise strumming the chord.
Once you have got the hang of it try going from E major to minor by releasing the first finger from the third string G, to create the minor. Practise the finger on and off pattern for four beats on each chord.
Keep practising until your chords are smooth and without buzzing and humming sounds.
