Guitar - Funk Rhythm
Guitar - Fun Rhythm: funk up your guitar playing skills with VideoJug and learn how to play Funk Rhythm on your guitar.
Before you start to play check that your guitar is in tune. Watch our other films on how to tune your guitar, if you are unsure.
Play a D9 using the middle finger first on the D on fret 5 pulling with the rhytm hand on the A string. The first finger comes across on the D string also on fret 5 and the third finger will bar from the G string upwards on fret 5.
Practise down up down up….,1 2 3 4, 1 2 3 4, on the count of two 1 2..,12..,1 2.., on the count of three.
Once you are familiar with them practise moving from chord to chord, so that your notes do not have any buzzing or humming sounds. The progressions should sound fluid and smooth with practise.
