Play the A major bar chord on fret 5 placing the second finger on the G string, the third finger up the to A string and the small finger on the D string. To create A minor simply lift off the middle finger.
To play D minor chord play on the root note on the A string, bar in fret 5 from the A string upwards , the second finger on the next fret up to the B string, the third finger on the D string and the small finger on the G string.
Practise playing the chords A minor and D minor .
Once you are familiar with them practise moving from chord to chord, so that your notes do not have any buzzing or humming sounds. The progressions should sound fluid and smooth with practise.
