Guitar - The Claw Hammer
improve on your guitar techniques by learning the Claw Hammer with VideoJug. And then start playing your guitar!
Before you start to play check that your guitar is in tune. Watch our other films on how to tune your guitar, if you are unsure.
To play the claw hammer use the root note of D lifting up and down the first two fingers on the D chord and then with the rhythm hand use the thumb and first finger to pull on the G and top E string.
Practise playing from D to the root note of C, a base note, and then adding a B note .
Once you are familiar with them practise moving from chord to chord, so that your notes do not have any buzzing or humming sounds. The progressions should sound fluid and smooth with practise.

i found this video very helpful thank you!
video isn't clear enough...go a little slower next time!
excellent video - misleading name. Clawhammer is a style of picking for your playing hand, he's showing fretting hand techniques. Should really be hammer on/offs
