How Make Crispy Zucchini Fried In Breadcrumbs

Step 1: You will need:
- 1 zucchini, thinly sliced
- 150 g breadcrumbs
- 1 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 tbsp cream
- 6 tbsp flour
- 100 ml vegetable oil
- 3 trays
- 1 fork
- 1 frying pan
- paper towels
- tongs
- 1 spoon
Step 2: Prepare the breadcrumbs
Put the breadcrumbs into a bowl. Add the parmesan cheese, the thyme and garlic salt. Combine well and pour it onto a tray.
Step 3: Prepare the coatings
Next, add the cream into the beaten egg and combine it well. Tip the flour onto a tray. Arrange the seasonings on your worktop, in preparation for coating the zucchini. Begin with the flour, then the egg mixture and the breadcrumbs.
Step 4: Coat the zucchini
Take a slice of zucchini and cover it with flour. Dip it into the egg mixture. Then coat it generously in the breadcrumbs. Place the slice onto a tray. Repeat this process for the other pieces of zucchini.
Step 5: Cook the zucchini
Heat the frying pan over a medium heat. Add the oil and allow it to heat. Once it is hot, add a few zucchini slices into the pan. Depending on the size of your pan, you may have to cook them in batches. Fry on one side, for roughly one and a half minutes. Then turn them over and fry until they becomes golden brown and crispy. Remove them and place them onto a tray lined with kitchen paper to drain. Repeat until all the zucchini is cooked.
Step 6: Serve
Your breaded zucchini is now ready to serve. It makes a wonderful snack, especially when served with a spicy salsa, or aioli-flavoured dip.
