How To 180 On A Skateboard
Learn how to do a front side 180 on a skate board with this easy to follow video from pro-skateboarder Bryce Campbell.
Hello. I am Bryce Campbell and i am going to show you guys how to 180 ollie on a skateboard. This would be the basis of an ollie, by pushing down on the back, sliding your front foot up the board heading there and then bringing it round with your body weight now the trick of this is to turn the shoulders first by turning your shoulders that means your body is going to follow.
As your body follows the board hopefully should come around with you if you look at it down here your foot stance for this is quite important but also the wind up so its a very pre-emptive trick in the way that you start turning your shoulders before you even pop the board so your looking at it like this, maybe put my foot in the corner here thats going to give me that sideways motion this foot right over the corner for this front side 180 that is going to bring it round so crouching down realling bring the shoulders inwards to come round with us like that and over the back of my shoulder when you're doing a front side 180 its very important to start off with your shoulders turning so that as you pop you come around you land you will be facing the opposite way to what you're usually skateboarding which is called fakey or switch. You want to land completely straight to avoid the board stoping or getting to much traction so then you can roll off bending your knees on the landing to accomodate for getting high and jumping that way the transition to the concrete will be nice and soft and slow allowing you to cruise off with the motion of the board that is how you front side 180 on a skateboard.
