How To Adjust Your iPod Backlight

Step 1: Reach Out And Touch It

Touch anywhere on the click wheel to wake your iPod from its sleep.
If it doesn't spring to life, check to see if the hold button is turned on. You will see orange if the hold button is in the "on" position.

Step 2: Go To The Main Menu

Touch anywhere on the click wheel to wake your iPod from its sleep.
If it doesn't spring to life, check to see if the hold button is turned on. You will see orange if the hold button is in the "on" position.

Step 3: Turn On The Backlight Timer

Slide your finger to the right on the click wheel until you highlight Backlight Timer.
Click the center of the click wheel to select.
At the top and bottom of the iPod Backlight screen you will see time settings and Always On.

Step 4: Brightness Duration

You can adjust the length of time your backlight stays on by sliding your finger around the click wheel to the desired duration.
Click on the center of the click wheel to select.
When you are satisfied with the brightness duration, keep pressing the Menu button until you are brought back to the Main Menu.
And don't forget to turn out the lights.
