It is highly recommended that you use a sight to help you aim your bow. In this step by step guide Michael Peart, professional recurve archer and Olympic reserve, shows you how to use the sight on a recurve bow and on a compound bow.
Top Tips
- On a recurve bow: hold the hand of your drawing arm under your chin and look down the side of the string, then line up the target with the middle of the sight ring.
- On a compound bow: draw the string back, then look through the peep sight and line it up with the black dot in the scope.
