How To Apply Brown Eye Liner

Hi, I am Faye from simplyfaye dot co dot uk. I have been a makeup artist for 20 years and I am going to give some tips on how to apply makeup. In this video, I am going to show how to apply brown eyeliners.

I am using a slant brush but you can use a small pointed brush. I find the small pointed brush allows me to get closer to the eyelashes. I am using a gel eyeliner, but you can get many different types of eyeliner including a pencil eyeliner or liquid eyeliner.

I find the gels are easy to apply to the eyes and they are longer lasting. so, I am going to tip my eye liner brush into the pot and then I am going to come up to the eye and then I am going to apply the eye liner as close to the lashes as possible and then I am going to press the eyeliner in rather than trying to draw one fluid line as this will make it easier to apply especially if you are a beginner. I am not going to go right into the corner of the eye because we don't want to close the eyes up.

But if you start about 5 cm from the corner, that's about the right distance. And the secret is to build up the color gradually rather than trying to put it on in one application and you might want to stretch the skin to make sure that there are no wrinkles. Sometimes, the eyeliner can get caught in the wrinkle and I am just keeping going building up the product.
