How To Apply Fake Tan
Beauty therapist Sarah Chapman shows you how to apply fake tan without streaking, from subtle tinted moisturisers to darker salon treatments, this is a great online tutorial for applying fake tan.
Step 1: Exfoliate
Exfoliating your skin with a granular scrub will remove dead skin cells and help the fake tan to absorb evenly. Concentrate on ‘trouble spots' which may have a build up of dry skin, such as elbows, knees, heels and ankles. Use a flannel to remove the excess exfoliator or wash it off in the shower.
Step 2: Tinted body lotions
If you want a more subtle tan, start by using a body lotion which contains fake tan. Use latex gloves to avoid turning the palms of your hands orange. Apply with sweeping movements over the body. This can be applied everyday to build up a deeper tan.
Step 3: Salon type fake tans
These are cream products which give you a deep tan instantly. They are already dark when you apply them so are easier to use as you can correct streaking straight away. Make sure you wear latex gloves or wash your hands thoroughly after applying. Apply a moisturiser to your body focusing on dry areas such as elbows, knees, heels and ankles. Apply the fake tan starting from the feet and moving upwards. Rub in thoroughly making sure you get an even finish. Leave the product on for 4-6 hours before showering. If you're applying the product to your face, mix it with moisturiser before applying.

There are other ways to get you skin than safely... Just cross out sun tanning and tanning beds, it's not worth the 2 weeks tanned skin you'll get.. Try other fake tanning products like tanning lotions or bronzers, I say the best tan is not from the sun
If you're having trouble tanning your back you need help! I help my girlfriend by applying the tan to her back... what this video needs to mention is that if you help out remember to wash your hands as there have been plenty of times I've been to work with orange hands. We always use the fake tan from Sun Laboratories - http://www.sunlabs-uk.com/fake-tanning-products/cat_2.html we love it because we can't find sizes this big on the high street. I am not a fan of St Tropez far too messy!
