Step 1: You will need

Step 2: Prepare the skin

Cleanse, tone and moisturise your skin before applying foundation. Claire is using a facial wipe which does all three.

Step 3: Find the right shade

Colour match the foundation to your skin tone. Begin with a dark shade and work towards a lighter one, then choose one that suits your skin tone.

Step 4: Prepare the foundation

Put a little foundation on your hand and spread it out lightly with your finger.

Step 5: Apply the foundation

Using your fingers, dab on the apple of the cheeks, chin and forehead and blend. Draw the foundation outwards rather than down. Then apply to eyelids and nose. Dark skin is usually more even in tone than lighter skin, so you may not need to apply a lot of foundation.

Step 6: Blend

Make sure that it is evenly blended everywhere, taking care at the hairline and jaw.

Step 7: Apply powder

Choose a matte powder to match your skin tone. Swirl a large powder brush in the powder and tap off any excess. Dust lightly over your whole face.

She is using MAC Face and Body foundation. It is a sheer coverage foundation so if you need more coverage you may be better suited to the Studio Fix Fluid. The powder is either MAC Select Sheer or pressed Blot powder, I am guessing select because it doesn't mattify very well on her.
