How to do great makeup - tips and tricks, secrets of the trade. So, first thing I would say to you is before you even get to makeup, start with a clean canvas. Every artist starts with a clean canvas and in our case, the canvas is our face.

So, you want to cleanse with a cleanser, cleansing wipe, makeup remover, whatever it is you want to use. Tone, take one of those sprays, spray your face, tone it up. Put a moisturizer on.

If you're going out during the day, use an SPF, very important to use an SPF. If not, at night, you don't have to use an SPF, it's the night time, it's not an issue. So, cleansing, toning and moisturizing is one that you need to do before you put makeup on.

Now, with foundation, you want to use minimal foundation and always put your foundation on before your concealer, because you'll end up using too much product to conceal where the foundation could have done it without the concealer. Then, what I would say to you is when you use a bronzer, under the cheeks, under the cheekbone, to use a bronzer, and then highlight on top of the cheekbones; pretty simple. Before you put a lip liner on your lips, you want to put Vaseline, let's say, half an hour beforehand.

Let your lips really marinate with the Vaseline on and then eventually, just before you're about to put your lip liner and lipstick on, and your lip gloss, you want to blot all that excess Vaseline off so the lipstick and the lip gloss don't slide off your face. Always, always set your face after you've put your foundation on with a face powder. Translucent is obviously the best because it's not going to have a colour, it won't wash you out.

It's translucent, so it's see-through. And those are a few of the tips and tricks of the trade.
