How To Apply Make-Up To Tanned Skin

Step 1: Eyeshadow

There are several eyeshadow colours that suit tanned skin - shimmery pale shades such as white, pale gold, lilac and lime green. Avoid doing the smoky eye look which can look dirty.

Start by applying a shimmery white eyeshadow over each eyelid

Using a fatter eyeshadow brush, apply a dark chocolate colour with a gold shimmer to it to the outer corners of each eye.

To make your eyes sparkle, add a pink shimmery highlighter to the inner corners of each eye.

Line the eyes with the dark brown eyeshadow applied with a fine eyeliner brush along the outer corners of the upper eyelids.

Step 2: Mascara

Apply black mascara to the lower lashes by placing the mascara wand on the roots of the lashes. Coat the upper lashes by rolling the wand through them, working from root to tip.

Step 3: Blusher

Use a fluid, waterproof blusher in pink or peach. Apply to the apples of each cheek, swinging up and out.

Step 4: Lip Gloss

Use a sheer peach lip gloss on the lips – apply to the top lip first, as the top lip is usually thinner than the bottom lip and should have more product on it.
