How To Apply Prom Make-Up
How to apply prom make-up: Our celebrity make-up artist Jo Adams shows you how to apply great make-up for your prom. Learn how to create this flawless, subtle look with your prom make-up.
-
Cleanse, tone and moisturise. Apply a primer to your face to help your make-up stay on.
-
To prepare your eyes, apply a foundation or concealer to your eyelids, followed by a loose powder.
-
Apply cream eye shadow under your brows and in the inner third of your eyes. Use highlighter on the inner corners of your eyes.
-
Apply a shimmery colour over each eyelid and under your eyes with a flat eye liner brush.
-
Use an eyeliner pencil and smudge it into the upper lash line. Emphasise this line by applying liquid eyeliner over the top.
-
Curl your eyelashes near the base of the lashes. Apply mascara to the top and bottom of the eyelash.
-
Use a light base such as a tinted moisturiser. Apply concealer around the nose and lip line, and to cover an uneven skin tone. Use a moisturising concealer under your eyes.
-
Blot your nose, forehead and any shiny areas with a powder puff.
-
Apply bronzer on areas that would catch the sun to sculpt your face.
-
Use a liquid highlighter on your cheeks and the cupid's bow.
-
Use a neutral coloured lipstick on your lips, and apply lip gloss over the top with a lip brush.
-
Line the lower inner rims of your eyes with black eyeliner to widen your eyes.
-
Finish the look with fake eyelashes, which may need to be cut to size. Apply onto your eyelashes rather than the eyelid. Hide the join with pencil or liquid liner.
