How To Apply Shimmer Eye Shadow

thing we're going to start off doing is just apply, I've already got a base foundation on here
and we're just going to apply some face powder to the eye area, just to prepare the eye area
before I start doing the shadow. I'm going to use a powder compact and a big fluffy brush.
You don't need to be precious about this because it's skin colour.

I'm just whacking on for her.
I'm going to use a really vibrant blue eye shadow. I'm using this one here from Mac called
'fresh water', it's a kind of really bright and metalicized electric blue, it's really good
for seventies.

So when you're using the shimmer eye shadow you can either apply it on to the
eye quite softly as a kind of wash like this. Then you could take a fluffy brush like this one
and blend it off, to have a quite soft watery look.
The other thing you can do that I'm going to do today is I'm going to pat it on for more
intense vibrant look, so two ways of using it really.

Sometimes it's quite nice to use two
shimmery colours together. I've just decided I'm going to use some of this green colour. I'm
going to take this right up to the brow area.

I'm using this one in a more soft watery way.
It's quite nice to get the contrast of the two different textures and then I am going to
use a really fluffy long brush for blending and kind of smudge that all in together. I think
it would be quite nice to add even more bling.

I'm going to get the shimmery powder.
An iridescent powder, this one is from Mac, it's called 'dancing lights', I think number
seven. Any make-up brand will do the mix really quite intensely sparkling.

I'm just going
to take a smaller brush, just get the tiniest amount, you don't need much. I'm going to run
this under the brow bone to give an even glitzy party feel. So I've just done exactly the
same thing on the other eye and that's one idea of how you can use shimmer eye shadows. .
