How To Automatically Forward E-Mails In Entourage
If you get e-mails that are supposed to go to someone else, you can forward the e-mail to the right person automatically, in Entourage.
Step 1: Tools and Rules
Once you've opened Entourage, move the cursor to the top of the screen. In the middle, you'll see the word "Tools". Click on that. When the menu drops down, click on "Rules". A box will open up.
Step 2: Pick Your Mail Server
On the box, you'll see a row of options, Mail (POP), Mail (IMAP) and so on. Select the one you use; in this case, we'll use Mail (POP). Then move your cursor up a bit and click on "New".
Then move your cursor up a bit and click on "New". This new "Rule" can help us set up all the automatic functions on our e-mail client.
Name the rule something like,
"Autoforward..." and put the name of the person you'll be forwarding to.
Step 3: Choose Your "If"
Beneath the name of your new rule, you will see "If". Under the "if" area, click on the bar next to the word "Execute" and change it to "if any criteria are met".
Click on the bar that says "All messages" and select "From".
The next box will say "Contains". Leave that alone. In the empty field, write in the address or name of the e-mailer that's sending you the information you want to pass on.
Step 4: Choose Your "Then"
Now you're going to personalize your forward. Select "change subject", click on the box to the right that says "Add prefix" and change it to "Replace with".
Finally, underneath, click the "Set category" bar and select "Forward to". Next to the box that appears, type in the e-mail address of the person you want to send it to.
